Saluting Mahatma Gandhi & Lal Bahadur Shastri (02 October 1904 – 11 January 1966) on their Birth Anniversary today. Lal Bahadur Shastri was the Prime Minister of India from 09 June 1964 to 11 January 1966 and was honoured, posthumously, with the Bharat Ratna, the highest civilian award in 1966 (Photo Source : Wikipedia)


We are also celebrating  this day (02 October 2016) as Rashtriya Swachhata Diwas and this week (02-08 October 2016) as Daan Utsav or the Joy of Giving Week.

  1. Very true. The Selfless Service is supposed to be the BASIC purpose of any human life because that can help you a great deal in achieving the ULTERIOR Goal of being born in this world.
