Saina Nehwal’s Success Mantra

Saina Nehwal, born 17 March 1990 at Hisar in India, is the ace Indian badminton player, who is currently ranked numero uno Women’s Singles 2015 player in the world by Badminton World Federation (BWF).  Saina has won many titles including India Super Series and India Open Grand Prix Gold both in 2015. She has been a finalist in All England Super Series Premier and BWF World Championship recently held at Jakarta, Indonesia, where she lost to Spaniard Carolina Marin. In the Women’s Singles event, She has many firsts to her credit. She won the bronze medal  at the London Olympics 2012 and became the first Indian to win a medal in badminton at Olympics. She also won the gold medal in 2010 Commonwealth Games held at New Delhi. Highly decorated, she is a recipient of ‘Padma Shri’, Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna, and Arjuna Award, conferred by the Government of India.

In a recent interview to a TV channel, when asked as to what was her success mantra, she replied that it is ‘Hard work’… and… ‘Sacrifice’.

Nothing worthwhile is ever achieved without Hard work …backed by Determination…, Focus…and Passion…And, to succeed in life …to realize one’s dreams… one has to make many Sacrifices….Very true…

Many Salutes to Saina, a role model to youngsters, who aspires to be the Queen of Badminton, for having scaled great heights at such a young age…Bravo…
